Mr Mushies began at a kitchen table where curiosity outpaced convention and a few experimental bars at weekend markets revealed a simple truth: texture can make you smile the way flavor does. From that modest start we built a small-batch chocolate workshop that prizes three things above all else — clear, honest flavor, layered and playful texture, and relationships with the people who grow our cacao. Every recipe is developed hands-on; we roast and refine in limited runs so each bar receives focused attention and the crisps, puffs, and inclusions that define our signature bars stay lively from wrapper to finish.
We trace single-origin beans when possible and choose suppliers who match our commitment to quality and fair practice. Listing origins and batch notes so customers can follow the provenance of what they taste. Packaging favors recyclable materials and production choices minimize waste. Because craft matters at every step, not just in the finished bite. Cathy, our founder and head chocolatier, treats every batch like a tasting experiment. Adjusting roast profiles, texture ratios, and finishing touches until a bar feels balanced and surprising. Whether it’s a steady single-origin dark.
